The Challenge

Press was preparing to launch as a new independent coffee shop in a competitive local market. The priority was to build anticipation ahead of opening, establish a strong community presence from day one, and ensure the brand felt personal and owner-led.

Post-launch, the focus shifted to sustaining momentum building brand awareness, driving footfall, and creating a loyal local following. It was essential that social media never felt overly corporate or agency-led; instead, the account needed to reflect the personality, voice, and values of the owners themselves.

Our approach

We developed the full brand identity for Press,, including the logo design, visual direction, tone of voice, and a comprehensive set of social media guidelines and assets to ensure consistency from launch and beyond. This provided a clear, cohesive foundation for how the brand would look, sound, and show up across all customer touchpoints.

From this, we delivered a launch strategy designed to generate early awareness and anticipation, using storytelling, behind-the-scenes content, and community-driven messaging to introduce Press before the doors officially opened.

Following launch, we implemented a consistent organic social media strategy focused on visibility, engagement, and brand personality. Content was crafted to feel natural, authentic, and owner-led, while remaining underpinned by a clear strategic framework to ensure consistency and purpose in every post.

Through regular posting, reactive content, and active community engagement, we positioned Press as more than just a coffee shop, building a recognisable, community-driven local brand with a loyal and highly engaged audience.
