The Challenge

The Chester Grosvenor is an iconic luxury hotel with a strong international reputation for its hospitality and heritage. However, its digital presence needed to work harder to reflect its position as a leading destination in Cheshire and beyond.

Brand awareness required strengthening across key audiences, particularly among younger, experience-driven travellers. While the hotel offered premium services, seasonal packages, and exceptional dining and spa experiences, these weren’t always being translated into compelling, conversion-focused social content.

Engagement levels needed to grow, with greater emphasis on community building, direct interaction, and user-generated content. There was also an opportunity to align content more strategically with campaigns and offers, supporting direct bookings and revenue growth through clearer calls to action and a more seamless path from inspiration to enquiry.

Our approach

We developed a content-led marketing approach to elevate The Chester Grosvenor’s digital presence, supporting both immediate bookings and long-term brand growth.

Our strategy centred on high-impact, visually compelling content across Instagram and Facebook, balancing refined luxury storytelling with clear, conversion-focused messaging. Seasonal offers, dining experiences, spa retreats, and exclusive packages were carefully aligned across social and weekly email marketing, creating a seamless journey from inspiration through to booking.

As the hotel now prepares to close its doors temporarily for refurbishment, our role has evolved to support this significant chapter in its history. Our focus has shifted towards honouring the legacy of the hotel, capturing its heritage, celebrating the stories of its people, and showcasing the moments that have defined it as one of the region’s most iconic destinations.

The result

A cohesive, community-driven digital presence that positioned The Chester Grosvenor as a modern luxury destination while maintaining its heritage authority.
